Clinton head coach was a bit bewildered at Zak Hrvol last Thursday.
The bench player, whom Clinton scouted as a mere roll player, was quite the opposite, knocking down 14 points, 12 of which came off 3-pointers.
“The Hrvol kid, I don’t know what he averages, but he had 14 today, and he hasn’t had 14 all season. He wasn’t even on our radar, our report,” said Clinton coach Clay Haurberg. “He was just a bench player that we thought was a roll player. Hats off to him. We played that triangle, and he hit one, but then he shot better off the move and off picks.”
