Knights Score OT Win over Broncos

Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond’s Knights were a 45-42 winner over Cerro Gordo in LOVC action January 22.
The Knights and Broncos were forced to battle for the win in overtime where ALAH’s six points edged the Broncos three for the win.
In the game rundown Cerro Gordo was 14-30 from the field with ALAH 15-33; the Broncos three point percentage was 44 making 4-9, while the Knights 1-6 from the outside was 16 percent. The Knights hit 14-16 free throws for 87 percent while the Broncos were 10-19 at 52%.
Cerro Gordo was ahead 14-4 in a quick scoring first quarter. By the second quarter the Knights had the advantage 17-8 but went into the half down 22-21 to the Broncos.
Cerro Gordo came into the third quarter with a 13-9 run. The fourth brought on the tie with the Knights putting up a 9-4 effort.
Marcus Vanausdoll led Knight scoring, hitting 4-5 from the field 8-9 free throws for 16 points; while pulling down five rebounds, getting two assists and three steals.
