Three walks and three players hit by a pitch, all in the top of the first, gave Sullivan two unearned runs, a helping hand in their 8-1 win over Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond Monday.
Taking the mound only the second time this year, the Lancers’ Brooke Tab started the inning off walking Bailee Pratt. Elissa Stewart followed with a ground out to short, but Tabb added another walk and then hit her next three batters, scoring two before being replaced by Katie Wildman. The Lancer ace struggled early herself, as Brittin Boyer then stepped to with a single off of Mycaela Miller’s glove to score two more.
