Lake Shelbyville Tree Stand Permits Now Available for the 14-15 Deer Season
July 30, 2014
According to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers the Lake Shelbyville tree stand policy for this season will remain the same as it was last season. The policy allows hunters to leave one seasonal tree stand up for the duration of the archery season. Seasonal tree stands may be put up two weeks prior to the beginning of archery season. Opening day is October 1. Tree stands must be taken down two weeks after archery season ends on Jan.18. A roving tree stand may be left up for a period not to exceed 72 hours – the length of a three day weekend.
