Bob Ross Painting Class
The Bob Ross painting class will be held at the Lovington Library on Saturday April 11 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. There is a cost, which includes everything, minus lunch and a roll of paper towels which participants are asked to bring. Preregistration is required by Thursday April 9 at 1 p.m. The public is encouraged to take note the change to the second Saturday and not the third Saturday.
Movie Monday
With school out for spring break the Lovington Library will host a Movie Monday with free popcorn on Monday, April 6 from 1-3 p.m. No preregistration is required.
Youth Book Club
Youth in 4-8th grades are invited to come to the Youth Book Club meetings on Tuesday April 7 and Tuesday April 21 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. New games will be featured at each meeting such as “Boost Your Memory Skills”, “Silly Sentence Game” and “Which is the Correct Meaning of a Word”? Those planning on attending are reminded to not forget to bring a book to discuss.
National Library Week
National Library Week is being celebrated at the Lovington Library April 12-April 18. The library is excited to have a local Lovington author Peggy Larson come in to read her book, “The Visitors of Pompadour” beginning at 6:30 p.m. A dragon craft and refreshments will then follow. There will also be sign-ups for prizes throughout the week to celebrate reading, so stop in and visit the library.
Free Blood Pressure Check & White Elephant Bingo
The Moultrie County Health Department will be conducting free blood pressure checks from 12:45-1:15 p.m. at the library on Friday April 24 and then a white Elephant Bingo will be held from 1-3 p.m. for adults. Participants are asked to bring a white elephant prize to contribute to the prize table.
