Missionaries to Hungary Speak
•October 17, 2018•
First Baptist Church will host a community brunch at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 21 in Fellowship Hall to welcome Larry and Becky Stanton who are missionaries to Hungary.
Following the brunch, the Stantons will present a special informational presentation about their missionary work in Hungary. They are currently serving with the International Missionaries, Hungarian Baptist Aid and the Baptist Union on Hungary. Becky is serving as a teacher, and Larry is working with refugees in various countries around Hungary.
They work with schools in the eastern region of the country, primary and elementary community schools in Teglas and a technical school in Debrecan. The Stantons provide the students and staff with instruction and conversation practice in English and maintenance support in addition to classroom responsibilities. The Stantons participate in school activities and are involved in Christian outreach. Their children attend local schools and are becoming fluent in Hungarian.
First Baptist Church invites the community to join them for this brunch and to learn more about these two International missionaries serving in Hungary. A love gift offering will be taken for Larry’s mission work with refugees.
