Moonlight Acres is ready for the holiday season. The farm which is located near Bethany has shifted their focus to the holiday season with Christmas trees, wreaths, garlands, grave blankets and pillows. They have Frasier, Balsam, White Pine and Concolors for sale. Last year they received reports that their trees and wreaths held up and stayed green into the month of January.
This is the second year of business for Cory and Angie Neal. Earlier this year they planted their own trees, but they will not be ready for seven years. Grave blankets and pillows may be ordered and are decorated for no extra charge. “We want people to feel like we did it just for them,” Angie said.

They have also seen an increase in people ordering garland which may be ordered by the length a customer needs. They also have porch pot fillers.
Both of the Neal’s grew up on farms, Cory on a large farm in Indiana and Angie on a hay farm in Washington state. They both have bachelor’s degrees in agriculture.
When the calendar rolls around to May and June next year, they will have strawberries available for purchase in addition to their sweet corn. In the fall, they have pumpkins and mums. In the spring, they have tomato and pepper starts.
During warmer weather, they can be found at farmers’ markets. This year they went to markets in Mattoon, Charleston, Shelbyville and Decatur. One of the things that the Neals enjoy about going to farmers’ markets and having visitors to the farm is they like to have one on one relationships with people and hear their stories.
