Moultrie County Clerk and Recorder fee increases approved by the Moultrie County Board will go into effect November 1, 2017.
County Clerk Georgia England explained that the state of Illinois is implementing flat fee recording January 1, 2019, prompting the need for the cost study performed by Bellwether LLC and approved by the board Sept. 14.
England pointed out the last Cost Study for Moultrie County Clerk and Recorder was in 2003, and the last recording fee increase was in 2008 to comply with the assessor’s office GIS functions.
The ordinance increasing county clerk and recorder’s fees was passed based on the August 2017 Cost Study.
