Christ’s Food Pantry at the First Christian Church in Lovington is announcing the Reaching Rural Veterans initiative, a new effort that will help address needs of low-resource and at-risk rural veterans in Moultrie Co. The Reaching Rural Veterans events will take place every 3rd Thursday from 2-4 pm at 301 S. County St., Lovington.
The Reaching Rural Veterans project is supported by a grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture and is facilitated by the Military Family Research Institute (MFRI) at Purdue University. The project will provide grants, education and resources to food pantries in rural areas in order to mobilize communities to provide resources and services that address the needs of military and veteran families.     Login or Subscribe to read the rest of this story.
