On All Hallow’s Eve eve, I offer you tricks and treats.
And they’ll all be bite-sized (and likely stale). If you were hoping for a regulation Snickers bar from me, try the next house.
Where? What?
“TV news often headlines things similar to ‘Man shot in River North,’” writes Carl Skrabacz. “In this case, I looked over my body and couldn’t find a River North.”
Well, Carl, I’ve been lucky enough for my tee shot to hit a dogleg every three or four rounds, even if it’s the next fairway over.

The Sullivan-Bethany football team shut out Carterville 27-0 in the first round of the Class 2A playoffs.
Moultrie County Sheriff Rieck Kendall was nominated for State Law Officer of the Year by Voiture 287 of La Societe des Quarante Hommes et Huit Chevaux, a group affiliate with the American Legion. News Progress Posted on October 26, 2022 by webmasterOctober 26, 2022

•October 26, 2022•
Halloween is an exciting time of year for children, as they dress up in creative costumes, carve up pumpkins and gather lots of sweets. But while it can be an enjoyable experience, it isn’t without its preventable, safety risks. HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital encourages parents to become familiar with basic safety tips to make sure their kids stay safe on Halloween.
“A lot of the generic Halloween warnings focus on candy safety, but a bigger risk to kids now comes from the traffic on the street,” noted HSHS Medical Group pediatrician Aparna Alavalapadu M.D. “Candy should still be checked for food allergies or choking hazards for smaller children, and I encourage parents to ration the candy, so kids aren’t eating it all in one night.” Read More
