If you are new to the area, have never been in the Elizabeth Titus Memorial Library, or it has been some time since your last visit, you might be pleasantly surprised at the variety of items and activities available besides books.

For instance, this is the only local library with a 3-D printer; there are two meeting rooms that can be reserved for organizational or individual use and 14 computers and six e-readers connected to the internet for public use.

For those preferring to use their own laptops or tablets, the library has free Wi-Fi.

The library also provides a book club, fax service, a story time for children or craft activities.

On March 1 the library began providing access to 89 digital magazines.

These may be downloaded to your computer, tablet or e-reader in the library or at home, and you never have to return them.

For the less tech-oriented, print copies of many magazines may be provided.  If you are looking for a change in careers but the words “resume’” and “cover letter” seem foreboding, we have you covered.

A librarian can also put patrons in touch with programs that teach how to master resumes and cover letters.
