The Allenville Christian Church will celebrate their 130th anniversary of ministry Aug. 16. This small country church is located in the village of Allenville and was first organized in 1884.
Hummingbird Festival At Okaw Valley Orchard

The Okaw Valley Orchard will be the site for a Hummingbird Festival scheduled for 1-4 p.m. Sunday, July 27. In years past dozens of hummingbirds have been present to “wow” festival visitors. Vernon Kleen, a licensed hummingbird bander and associated with the Lincoln Land Association of Bird Banders, will begin the festival at 1 p.m. with a short discussion about hummingbirds and explain why they are banded. Walleye Festival this Weekend
The annual Findlay Walleye Festival will begin at 4 p.m. Friday with the walleye tent opening at the firehouse. Entertainment will also commence at 4 p.m. and run through midnight. Inflatables for children will be available. Read More

Car, Motorcycle Show in Dalton City Sunday

The fourth annual Dalton City car and motorcycle show will be held this coming Sunday from 12-5 p.m. on Main Street.
Cars and motorcycles of all makes, models, and years are welcome to attend. There will be a minimal sign-in fee, which may be paid ahead of time or the day of the show. Each participant is expected to receive a door prize along with a dash plaque. A 50/50 raffle will also be featured, and face painting is also expected to be available for the first time in the show’s history. Read More
Findlay 5k August 9
The Findlay 5k will be held August 9 with registration beginning at 7:30 a.m. Race time is 9 a.m. Registration, race start and finish will all take place at the Findlay Park. There is a pre-registration fee which includes a t-shirt and lunch after the race. Race day registration is slightly higher and will include a t-shirt while supplies last and lunch after the race.
