David Norris
David M. Norris, 78, of Bethany, formerly of Clio, Michigan, passed away at 11:55 p.m. Sunday, April 7, 2019 in Mattoon Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, April 11 at Reed Funeral Home in Sullivan. Celebration of Life services will be 12 noon Wednesday, April 17 at Martin Funeral Cremation and Tribute Services in Mt. Morris, Michigan. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 16 and one hour before the service on Wednesday. Burial with military rites will be in Flint Memorial Park, in Mt. Morris, Michigan.

Mr. Norris was born May 23, 1940 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Henry and Beulah Kingsbury Norris. David was a millwright for General Motors in Flint, Michigan and a member of Local UAW 599 in Flint, Michigan. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and suffered from the effects of Agent Orange later in life. David married Ruby Chunn September 11, 1961, and she preceded him in death March 27, 2005. He then married Joann Meredith in October of 2005 in Mt. Zion, Illinois and she survives.
Also surviving are his son Chuck (Dena) Norris of Lovington; grandsons Jacob Book-Hart of Mattoon and Justin Norris of Bethany and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Ruby, two infant children and one sister Violet Law.
