Roger Gustin

Roger Orval Gustin, passed away peacefully February 28, 2016 at the age of 81 ending his long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was surrounded by his immediate family.

Roger was born June 20, 1934 in Sullivan, graduating with the high school class of 1952 where he was a member of the H.S. band and lettered in basketball, baseball, football and track. Roger received his bachelor degree from Millikin University in Decatur and then his master’s degree in administration and teaching credential from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston. In 1960 Roger moved to Madera, California and started teaching at Madera High School from where he retired in 1992. In 1963 Roger married Joan Cappelluti of Madera, and they were together for 47 years. She predeceased him in 2010.      Login or Subscribe to read the rest of this story.
