Mike Wildman

Michael J. Wildman, 58, of Monticello passed away Monday, April 1, 2019 in Kirby Medical Center in Monticello.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 5 at Mackey-Wright Funeral Home in Monticello. Cremation rites followed, and interment in Monticello Township Cemetery will be held at a later date.
He was born June 17, 1960, a son of Roger L. and Phyllis Huffmaster Wildman. Mike was a 1978 graduate of Sullivan High School where he participated in golf, baseball, football and basketball. His senior year he participated in the IHSA State basketball tournament in Champaign. He was a 1982 graduate of Purdue University. Mike was a department head for the Home Depot and was elected Monticello Township Supervisor. He was a member of the NRA, Purdue Alumni Association, Piatt County Republican Party and a parishioner at St. Philomena Catholic Church of Monticello. Read More

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, April 11 at Reed Funeral Home in Sullivan. Celebration of Life services will be 12 noon Wednesday, April 17 at Martin Funeral Cremation and Tribute Services in Mt. Morris, Michigan. Robert Clifton “Bob” Shasteen, 82, of Sullivan passed away 7:47 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2019, at Mattoon Health Care Center.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 7, 2019, at McMullin-Young Funeral Home, Sullivan. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home in Sullivan. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery, Sullivan. Memorials may be made to Hope World Wide: Champaign Church of Christ 1509 W. John St. Champaign, IL 61821.
Bob was born January 13, 1937, in Sullivan; the son of Gale O. and Fern (Goodwin) Shasteen. He married Gloria Davis on April 18, 1959 in Sullivan; she survives. Bob served in the United States Army in the Paratrooper 82nd Airborne Division. He retired from USI in Tuscola after working for 36 years as a Chemical Analyst. He was a member of the Champaign Church of Christ. Bob enjoyed the outdoors and especially loved hunting and fishing.
Bob is survived by his wife Gloria of Sullivan; daughter, Linda (Carlos) Sevilla of Hartford, CT; foster-son, Danny (Jenny) Booker of Beaver Dam, WI; grandchildren, Jessica (Joshua) Singh, Jennifer Shasteen, Jason Shasteen, Marcelo Sevilla, Carlos G. Sevilla, Emilia Sevilla, Raquel (Kalyan Chakravarthy) Sevilla, Christopher Booker and Andrew Booker; great-granddaughter, Sada Chakravarthy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son, Perry Shasteen and 1 sister Janice Walgamot.

Sandra was born June 1, 1945, a daughter of James “Jay” Speagle and Norma Morey-Crutcher.
Surviving are her son Rodney Brownlee of Decatur; daughters Diane Strode of Decatur and Laurie (Val) McKean of Decatur; sister Donna (Terry) Beasley of Macon; half-siblings Jerry, Danny, Vicki, and Jay; grandchildren Koren (Fred), Ashley (Devin), Skyler, Brandy, Drew, and Krissy; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and a special nephew Wade Beasley. The storm that occurred in the evening hours of June 11th produced wind gusts of up to 70 mph left many locals without power, with many experiencing damage to property ranging from mild to extreme.
