Jeffery Dean Clark was born October 13, 1950 in Decatur, Illinois to Ivan and Norma Little Clark. Jeff grew up enjoying the great outdoors, fishing, trapping, hunting and playing with his brothers, sister and many friends. He learned the value of hard work by holding a paper route, selling fresh fruit, mowing lawns and working on the farm with his grandpas. Jeff was the one who always looked after and protected his brothers and sisters. He loved sports and a challenge, and while at Bethany High School played football, basketball, and track.  Read More

After a courageous four-year battle with multiple myeloma, Danny Allan Robinson ascended into heaven at 11:48 p.m. Friday, February 24, 2017. He was 66. He was at home surrounded by his family, friends and loved ones. They never left his side until he was at peace.

The son of Mildred “Pat” Robinson (England) and Morris Robinson, Sr., Danny was born March 8, 1950 in Decatur. He was a graduate of Sullivan High School Class of 1968 and graduated Lake Land College with an associate’s degree in accounting. Read More

Allison Virginia Moon, 50, of Trenton, Ill., born November 29, 1966 in Red Bud, Ill., a daughter of Ernest “Leroy” and Lola Sauerhage Koch of St. Libory, Ill., passed away at noon, Monday, February 20, 2017 in Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. with her family by her side.

Mary Jane Harshbarger (affectionately known as “Teeter”), 90, of Springfield, originally of Atwood, passed away gracefully at 3:50 a.m., Friday, February 10, 2017 in HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Ill.

Mary Jane was born December 25, 1926, the adopted daughter of Leslie and Alta Green Collins. She married Robert E. Harshbarger in 1962, and he later preceded her in death in addition to her parents and sister Martha Jean Swartz.  Read More

Burial with military rites by Sullivan American Legion Post #68 was in French Cemetery in Allenville. Randy was born August 1, 1957 in Mattoon, a son of Hue Tim and Ruth (Moran) Crowe. On Route 133 between Lovington and Arthur, power poles fell as a result of the storm systems that hit central Illinois in two waves on Wednesday, June 17th. These storms left many without power and caused widespread damage throughout the area, including confirmed tornado touchdowns in nearby counties.
