Rick L. Armer, 55, of Sullivan, passed away at 1:55 p.m. Wednesday (November 16, 2016) in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Celebration of Life services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the Reed Funeral Home, Sullivan with Bob Vail officiating. Visitation will be from noon until service time. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Bethany with military rites conducted by the Sullivan American Legion Post # 68. Rick was born July 14, 1961 in Decatur, the son of Benton C. and Linda S. Hughes Armer. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. Rick was a quality control inspector for Caterpillar in Decatur. He married Gloria M. Frazier on January 30, 1988 in Sullivan and she preceded him in death on August 12, 2015.
Surviving are his daughter Samantha Armer (Adrian Tello) of Alpharetta, Georgia; parents Benton C. and Linda S. Armer; sister Rhonda (Keith) Newberry and special friend Cathy Fritz, all of Sullivan.
He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents and brother Frank.

Edythe was born June 29, 1937 in Danville, Illinois to Vincent and Marguerite Murphy Blair.

Taylor of Westville, Illinois; their children Maureen (Frank) Cattani of Ladd, Illinois, Kelly (Charles) Bland of Bethany, Greg Taylor of Clearwater, Fla., Karl (Charina) Thorndyke of Chicago and Tracy (Tom) Steier of Parrish, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and sisters BJ Baker of Clearwater, Fla. and Mary (Floyd) Darling of Homosassa, Fla.
