Darlene P. Demaree of Peachtree Corners near Atlanta, Georgia, died peacefully at home April 2, 2016. A memorial service will be held in Georgia at Norcross First United Methodist Church April 23. Graveside services will be held at Red Oak Grove Cemetery near Tipton, Iowa. She grew up in Tipton and graduated from Tipton Consolidated School, Iowa State College (now University), and the University of Illinois.  Read More

Dorthea A. Abbott, 90, of Sullivan passed away at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 5 in Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

Funeral Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 8 in Shrader Funeral Home in Arthur. Burial was in Bourbon Cemetery in Bourbon. Read More

Eric Paulson

Eric Paulson, 30, of Sullivan, died at 9:06 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2016 in Findlay.

Celebration of Life services were at 4 p.m. Sunday in The Vineyard Church in Sullivan with Jim Plank officiating. Reed Funeral Home in Sullivan was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Paulson was born May 9, 1985 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. He worked for International Paper in Shelbyville. Eric was a member of The Vineyard Church in Sullivan and loved to hunt, fish and enjoyed woodworking. Eric was a kind and gentle son, father and husband. He married Angela Pruitt January 1, 2016 in Sullivan, and she survives. Read More

James W. ‘Jim’ Meador, Sr., 72, of Bethany, died at 11:35 a.m. Thursday March 31, 2016 in Hickory Point Christian Village in Forsyth.

Celebration of Life services were held at 7 p.m. Sunday in Reed Funeral Home in Sullivan with Pastor Ted Hartley officiating. Private burial will be at a later date in Marrowbone Township Cemetery in Bethany.  Read More

Allan F. Cook, 64, of Springfield, formerly of Sullivan, died at 7:32 a.m. Friday March 25, 2016 in Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
