Bud Grant
Byron M. “Bud” Grant, 79, of Ft. Myers, Fla., formerly of Sullivan and Lovington, passed away July 18 at the Lamplight care facility in Ft. Myers.
He was born Nov. 24, 1935, to John and Edith Grant of Chesterville and graduated from Lovington High School in 1953. Cherishing memories of their nearly 62 years of marriage is his wife and high school sweetheart Betty Grant (nee Bailey). They were married Aug. 28, 1953, in Champaign.

Pauline Evelyn Eaton, 93, of Windsor was welcomed into God’s pearly white city at 9:58 p.m. Sunday, July 12, 2015.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, in New Beginnings Apostolic Church in Sullivan. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. today (Wednesday) July 15 in McMullin-Young Funeral Home in Sullivan. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion General Baptist Cemetery in Coles Station.

Funeral services for Betty P. Porter, 70, of Sullivan were held at 11 a.m. Saturday in McMullin-Young Funeral Home in Sullivan. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Richland Cemetery in Boyleston.
She passed away at 8:10 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2015 in Sullivan Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Marilyn M. Tipton, 73, of Mattoon passed away at 9:20 a.m. Sunday July 12, 2015 in Springfield Memorial Hospital in Springfield, Ill.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home in Windsor. Visitation will be from noon until time of the service on Thursday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Sand Creek Cemetery near Windsor.

She passed away Tuesday July 7, 2015 in Quincy.
Edna was born August 2, 1919 in Windsor, the daughter of Roy and Estella Elder Spencer.

A funeral service for Herman Paul Rauch, 94, of Spokane, Wash. was held June 23 with interment in Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
He died June 22, 2015 in Hospice House of Spokane surrounded by family.

Genevieve “Jennie” White, 91, of Sullivan passed away at 12:45 a.m. Friday, July 3, 2015, in Mason Point in Sullivan.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, in McMullin-Young Funeral Home in Sullivan. Burial was in Greenhill Cemetery in Sullivan. Jennie was born February 16, 1924, in Sullivan, the daughter of Earl and Jennie Ruth Hieland Ray. She married Lynn A. White September 8, 1941, in St. Charles, Mo., and he preceded her in death July 25, 2012. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Sullivan. She loved her family very much, enjoyed playing cards and was a great cook.
