Celebration of Life services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Elim Springs Church of Jesus Christ with Felix Hagerman and Vanessa Patient officiating. Burial was in Greenhill Cemetery in Sullivan. Reed Funeral Home in Sullivan was in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for James William Dodd, 68, formerly of Cerro Gordo, will be held at 11 a.m. July 2 in Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home in Decatur. Burial will be in Cerro Gordo Cemetery.

He died June 27, 2015 and was born July 31, 1946, the son of Raymond and Helen Ofield Dodd.

He was retired from PPG Industries in Mt. Zion.

Surviving are his wife Sherry; daughter Carly Ferguson; stepchildren Lisa Barnes, Will Davis and Ben Davis, all of Decatur; two grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to the athletic program of the donor’s choice.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today (Wednesday) in Reed Funeral Home in Sullivan with public Masonic Rites at 8 p.m. Visitation will also be held one hour before services in Mason Point Chapel. Burial will be in Keller Cemetery in Lovington.

On Route 133 between Lovington and Arthur, power poles fell as a result of the storm systems that hit central Illinois in two waves on Wednesday, June 17th. These storms left many without power and caused widespread damage throughout the area, including confirmed tornado touchdowns in nearby counties.
