Funeral services for Velma H. Bailey, 89, of Bethany were held at 10:30 a.m. today (Wednesday) in McMullin-Young Funeral Home in Bethany. Burial was in Marrowbone Township Cemetery in Bethany.
She passed away peacefully at 6 a.m. Saturday Dec. 6, 2014 in her home in Bethany.

Charles Eugene Wendel, 83, of Decatur died at 1:06 p.m. Wednesday Nov. 26, 2014. Inurnment will be at 2 p.m. this Friday in Point Pleasant Cemetery in Long Creek. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home in Decatur is assisting with arrangements.
Larry Wacaser
Retired neurosurgeon Dr. Lawrence “Larry” Keyes Wacaser, 77, died peacefully October 16, 2014, in Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Penn. Five days earlier, he suffered anoxic brain damage from cardiac arrest which resulted from tragically choking on food.
McMullin-Young Funeral Home in Sullivan is coordinating Dr. Wacaser's memorial service at the Lovington United Methodist Church at 241 S. Broadway in Lovington at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 7 with visitation also at the church at 1p.m. Burial will be in Hewitt Cemetery in Lovington.
Patricia Hodson
Funeral services for Patricia Mae Hodson, 77, of Springfield were held at 11 a.m. Monday in Bisch and Son Funeral Home in Springfield with a graveside service at 2:30 p.m. in Macon County Memorial Park in Harristown.
The former Sullivan and Illiopolis resident died at 7 a.m. Wednesday Nov. 26, 2014.
Kerrie Sims
Kerrie Sims, affectionately known as “Gwa”, “Momma Kerrie” and “Kerr Bear” (to name only a few of her endearing nicknames), originally of Atwood, Illinois and most recently of Troy, Missouri, passed peacefully at the age of 61 amongst family Friday, November 28, 2014.
Memorial visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, December 5, 2014 in Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36 in Atwood. The family will have a toast in Kerrie’s memory at Mona’s Steak & Spirits, 114 North Main Street in Atwood following the visitation.

Gerald L. Obrecht, 91, of Sullivan, passed away at 2:25 p.m. Thursday November 27, 2014 in Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Coles County.
Celebration of Life services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Sullivan First United Methodist Church with Pastor Charliam Renner officiating. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday in Reed Funeral Home in Sullivan. Burial with military rites conducted by Sullivan American Legion Post #68 will be in Greenhill Cemetery in Sullivan.
Sue Rothrock
Funeral services for Rohima Sue Rothrock, 70, of Findlay were held at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday) in the Findlay United Methodist Church with Pastor Marge Overlot officiating. Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Findlay handled arrangements. Burial will be in Findlay Cemetery at a later date.
She passed away Saturday November 29, 2014 in her residence.

Mary P. Buckner, 90, of Sullivan, passed away at 9:16 a.m. Sunday November 23, 2014 in St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur.

Victor Eugene Lash, 67, of Decatur died Nov. 18, 2014 in McKinley Court Nursing Home in Decatur. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home in Decatur assisted the family.

Funeral services for Chalyssa Marie Mae “Boo” Yokley, 14, of Kewanee, formerly of Sullivan, were held at 12 p.m. Tuesday in McMullin-Young Funeral Home in Sullivan. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery in Bethany.
She died at 11:55 p.m. November 20, 2014 in OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Boo was born July 11, 2000 in Centralia, a daughter of Troy Allen Yokley and Carla Fay Crain Yokley. She was a member of Brown Christian Church Meacham Township. Boo loved her family, friends and music.
