Alma Kate Miller, 86, of Tuscola, passed away at 6:49 a.m., Monday, May 2, 2022, at Lincolnshire Memory Care in Decatur.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 21, at McMullin-Young Funeral Home in Lovington. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home in Lovington. Burial will be in Hewitt Cemetery in Lovington. Memorials may be made to the Lovington Church of God. Rick E. Blickensderfer 63, of Dalton City, went to join his wife and love of his life in Heaven at 11:37 a.m., Sunday, May 8, 2022, in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Rick was born August 8, 1958, in Monticello, Ill., a son of Robert and Norma (Wattles) Blickensderfer.  He married Elizabeth “Renee” McPeak November 17, 1979. She preceded him in death June 28, 2021. Rick had retired as a diesel mechanic from Midwest Fiber. He had served as a trustee for the village of Dalton City.  He took pride in having a well-kept yard. His passion in life were his family and especially his grandchildren. Read More

Stanley Wayne Barnes, 85, of Zionsville, Indiana, passed away Monday, May 2, 2022.
Stanley was born August 24, 1936, in Sullivan, to Wilford Earl and Ida Grace (Grider) Barnes. Stan graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University where he attended on a basketball scholarship and was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. Brady T. Phillips, 30, of Tuscola, IL, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022 at his residence.
There will be a visitation on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 from 4-6 p.m. with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL.
Brady was born January 4, 1992 in Mattoon, IL, the son of Liz Phillips and Brad Phillips. Survivors include his parents, sisters: Clarisa Phillips and Emmalee Phillips, and other extended family members and friends.
Preceded in death by grandfathers: Floyd Stutzman and Ron Phillips.
Brady served his country as a US Army Sergeant. He worked as a forklift driver at Syngenta. Brady loved going fishing and spending time with his friends. He was an avid Chicago Bears fan. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Please come share memories and stories.
In lieu of flowers, funeral expense donations are greatly appreciated. Monetary donations can be made through Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home.

Sullivan Boy Scout Troop # 39 was at the ready with delicious food in Kirby’s parking lot for famished deal-seekers on Friday, June 5th, during Sullivan’s annual Townwide Rummage Sale. On the menu were brats, steak sandwiches, pork chops, chips, sides, and cool beverages.
