Two of the oldest banks in the county are merging to form First Community Bank of Moultrie County.

Ray Duncan, Chairman of the Board of First National Bank of Sullivan (est. 1905) and Chairman and CEO of Hardware State Bank (est.1885) of Lovington, announced the formation of First Community Bank of Moultrie County this week.

“First Community Bank of Moultrie County is only a name change,” stated Duncan. “All decisions will continue to be made locally.”

The merger will provide the new bank with more resources as it looks to provide customers with additional services from further investment in technology and product lines.     Login or Subscribe to read the rest of this story.
