The Okaw Valley softball team kicked off its season with a 2-2 record.

The Timberwolves defeated Edinburg and Central A&M but lost to Maroa-Forsyth and Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg.

Against Edinburg at Crowder Park Saturday, OV scored seven runs with two outs to break open a 3-2 lead in the fourth inning.

In the fourth inning rally, Benning singled to right.

Grace Harlin followed with a single down the right field line, which allowed Benning to advance to third.  Benning advanced to home on the throwing error to third base.     Login or Subscribe to read the rest of this story.
