Post 68 Hosts Blood Drive
•May 2, 2018•
The American Red Cross and The Sullivan American Legion will host a blood drive Tuesday, May 8th from 12 noon to 6:00 pm at the Sullivan Legion.
Donating blood is especially important. All Blood Types are needed. In America, every 2.5 seconds someone needs blood to sustain life. Every unit collected can help up to three patients survive.
Any healthy individual, ages 16 and older, who meets weight requirements may donate blood. Donors should eat a healthy meal and drink plenty of water before coming to donate. Donors must have a valid photo ID. Donors can save up to 15 minutes at the blood drive by using Rapid Pass the day of the drive. Visit redcrossblood.org/RapidPass to complete before the drive.
To make an appointment, please call drive coordinator Jeri Davis at 273-9456. Donors can also make an appointment online by visiting redcrossblood.org Walk ins are welcome, but having an appointment, decreases donor wait time and ensure adequate red cross staffing.
