Prairie Winds Performs Free Concert
•November 2, 2016•
The Prairie Winds of Sullivan will present a free concert in the First United Methodist Church Friendship Hall at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13.
The Prairie Winds is a not-for-profit group of 20 local singers and keyboardists whose ministry includes performing shows for area nursing homes and at senior residences.
“Those Were the Days” is the theme of their present show. A trip down Memory Lane follows a couple, Harold and Maude, as they reminisce about their courtship while listening to an old-fashioned band concert in the park.
Songs featured include a “Good Old Summertime” medley, a tribute to World War I, and selections from “The Music Man”.
The Prairie Winds are completing their 31st year “Sharing God’s Love Through Music”.
The public is invited to enjoy this hour of music, comedy and lots of fun.
The United Methodist Church is located at 216 W. Jefferson St. in Sullivan.
