•June 6, 2018• The 9th Annual Amish Country Tractor Cruise is Saturday, June 16 beginning in Arthur. A 48-mile cruise will take riders on a picturesque cruise through the Heart of Illinois Amish Country that includes the communities of Arthur, Chesterville, Garrett, Atwood, Voorhies, and Hammond. •June 6, 2018• By Jason Brown NP Sports Area’s top track and field athletes competed in the News Gazette Honor Roll Meet Monday in Urbana. For the Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond boys’ track team, Logan Hall took second in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:57.96, and Layton Hall took second in the 3,200-meter run at 10:14.95. Doc Ingram Clarence L. “Doc” Ingram, 97, of Oakland passed away at 5:45 a.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2018 in Mattoon Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. Funeral services were held at 6 p.m. Friday, June 1 in Edwards Funeral Home in Arcola.  The Rev. Kent Conover officiated. Burial will be in Hugo cemetery at a later date.
