Sullivan Approves Subdivision

•March 21 2018• By Ariana Cherry for the News Progress The Sullivan City Council approved the preliminary plat for the new Burdick sub-division at the March 12 meeting. The new sub-division will lie along the east side of Patterson Road and south of the White Heath Subdivision to the four way stop at Country Club Drive which is about a half mile east of Route 32 South. The driveways will back into Patterson Road. Near the White Heath sub-division, Burdick sub-division consists of nine one to two acres sites. WSS Opens Softball Season with Two Wins

•March 21 2018• The Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg softball team started the season by winning its first two games. The Hatchets shutout Shelbyville 7-0 last Thursday and knocked off Central A&M 7-4 last Tuesday. Against Shelbyville, the game was close until WSS scored two runs in the fourth inning. ALAH Track Grabs Seven of Eight Spots

•March 21 2018• The Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond boys track team placed seven athletes in the top eight spots in the 74-team Charleston High School Indoor Boys’ Invitational Saturday at Eastern Illinois University. Pulaski Wednesday, March 14. Against WSS, Fritz homered twice, scored three runs and had four RBIs to help the Timberwolves to a 10-0 win in six innings. Senior Expo a success

On Friday, September 4th, Mid-Illinois Senior Services (MISS) was abuzz with activity and a good time was had by all during MISS’ yearly Senior Expo. Local businesses attended to provide helpful information to local seniors, and the staff of MISS was on hand to answer questions, sign people up for services (including Medicare Part ‘D’ enrollments which are fast approaching), as well as provide a free lunch. Many local businesses and individuals donated a wide variety of goods to be sold at the Expo, with all funds raised going directly back into the services MISS provides to local seniors and a much-needed roof repair.
