25 Years Ago This Week A Children’s Safety house is being constructed for the members of the Okaw Fire Protection Association. The house will be used to show community children how to safely exit a smoke filled house. The project is being overseen by committee co-chairmen Arlon Long of Sullivan Fire Protection Dist. and Merlin Yoder of Arthur Fire Dept. A steer on the loose kept Sullivan city officers, sheriff’s deputies and Sullivan city workers busy for approximately four hours.
