Sullivan Holiday Parade Nears

•November 8, 2017• Entries are being sought for the 2017 Hometown Holidays Parade in Sullivan. Petersen Healthcare will host this year’s parade Saturday, December 2. The parade will kick off at noon from the Sullivan High School rear parking lot. Line up will begin at 10 a.m. and continue till the parade begins. Local civic organizations, groups, churches, antique cars and truck owners, horseback riders, and businesses are encouraged to participate in this year’s event. •November 8, 2017• The Decatur Memorial Hospital (DMH) Breast Center has been granted a three-year/full accreditation designation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a program administered by the American College of Surgeons. Accreditation by the NAPBC is only given to those centers that have voluntarily committed to provide the highest level of quality breast care and that undergo a rigorous evaluation process and review of their performance. •November 8, 2017• The statewide average precipitation in Illinois for October was 4.94 inches, 1.70 inches above normal, and the 10th wettest October since 1895, according to Illinois State Climatologist Jim Angel of the Illinois State Water Survey.
