Future Child Support Cases To Use ‘Income Shares’ Calculation

•July 5, 2017• The Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services announced today that the most widely used method nationwide to calculate child support will begin to be applied to new cases in Illinois starting July 1, following a bipartisan law signed by Governor Bruce Rauner last year. Child support orders established before July 1, 2017 will not change. Under the “income shares” model, child support will be calculated primarily by looking at typical costs for families in similar circumstances. Another Habitat for Humanity Home for Moultrie County

•June 28, 2017• Moultrie County Habitat for Humanity handed the keys to 604 Hope Lane to Paige and Chance Schoonover June 9. With a great deal of help from the community and Habitat Care-A-Vanners the build was completed in a record time of 30 days with 20 minutes to spare, according to Habitat build coordinator Bob Gillespie. Before a crowd of 50 people who gathered for the Key ceremony, Gillespie explained that three different Care-A-Van teams joined local volunteers and subcontractors to accomplish the build in a month. •June 28, 2017• Sullivan Fourth of July celebration begins June 30 with the Sullivan American Legion presenting Conner Family Amusements of Beardstown for the first time. Unlimited ride armbands are $25 for June 30-July 4th activities. Enjoy rides, food, games, the Fourth of July parade and fireworks from Central States Fireworks of Athens. Parade line up begins at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 4 behind Sullivan High School. The American Legion coordinated Fourth of July parade kicks off at  noon.
