MCM Quarter Madness

•July 2, 2025• Moultrie County Monthly Quarter Madness will hold its July Quarter Auction on Wednesday, July 9th at the Sullivan American Legion Post #68. The organization of the month is the Lovington Volunteer Fire Department. This group is made up of men and women who volunteer their time to help the community. The fire department donates to local organizations and schools. Their volunteers work hard to support and keep the community safe anytime, day or night. Bethany Celebration does not disappoint

Great turnout despite record heat and humidity •June 25, 2025• This year’s “Bethany Celebration” on Friday the 20th and Saturday the 21st offered something for everyone of all ages. On Friday, after Opening Ceremonies, there was a “Touch a Truck” event, “Kids Craft Corner”, a Sullivan Dance Studio Showcase, and “Tot Rod Pulls”. To everyone’s delight, it reopened on Friday the 20th, to the delight of many. Mobile DMV at ETML

•June 25, 2025• Last Friday, on June 20th, the State of Illinois’ “Mobile DMV” drew in a crowd at the Elizabeth Titus Memorial Library, meeting the needs of locals with everything from driver’s license renewals to road tests. The Moultrie-Douglas County Fair Pageant will be held Monday, July 27th at 6:00 p.m. for Little Miss Fair Queen and 7:00 p.m. for Miss and Junior Miss Fair Queen located at the south track on the Mo-Do Fairgrounds. Vying for the title of Miss Moultrie Douglas Fair Queen are: Abigail Meyer of Tuscola, Addee Mulligan of Arcola, Sarah Rogers of Atwood, Ava Whitson of Tuscola, Addisyn Wilson of Villa Grove, Emma Spillman of Tuscola, Aymara Leal of Arcola and Katilyn Kirby of Sullivan.
