Ray Duncan of Lovington was named president following the First National Bank board of directors and annual stockholders meeting. He will be leaving Hardware State Bank as president but retain ownership. Faye Daily, a 27 year employee, replaces Duncan as president. Bethany school board approved purchase of new uniforms for the fifth-sixth grade basketball teams for $1380. The change did not affect the Knights who rained 10 runs on two-time defending regional champion Okaw Valley for a 10-1 victory, setting up a matchup against Cumberland in the sectional semi-finals in Bethany. Principal Erik Young presented the class of 2017 to board president Jeff White. Senior class president Morgan Miller opening the program reflecting on her high school experiences.
