•November 9, 2016• An all day fund-raising event will be held for Scott Buxton 6 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12. Buxton, the owner of Scotty B’s, lost a leg to diabetes complications recently, and friends and family in Bethany are pitching in to help defray the expenses connected with his hospital stay and recovery. The event will be held on west North, one block north of the water tower, in the neighborhood where Scotty B’s mobile food wagon is located. In a sectional also comprised of powerhouses St. Thomas More and St. Joseph-Ogden, Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond drew Tri-Valley, a team with two losses on the season, one of which came at the hands of SJO. The Vikings sported arguably the most menacing hitter of the whole sectional in 6’2” junior Hannah Clayton, along with a couple other players taller than anyone on the Knights’ roster, but the Knights made things interesting.
