Luke Bland, Andy Wagner,Bryan Johnson, Cory Golden, Jake Haegen and Josh Haegen all placed in the top half of the 90 competitors at regionals in Robinson to help the team qualify. Braden has been active in professional development service since taking office. In the lllinois Association of Court Clerks, she has served as an executive board member, legislative co-chair and new clerk mentor since 2008. •October 26, 2016• The January 8, 1917 edition of the Decatur Herald ran an article entitled: “Frank Chance Recalls His Debut in Sullivan”.  Frank Chance was player-manager of the Chicago Cubs on the only two World Series championship teams in 1907 and 1908. The short of it is that in 1895 at either 17 or 18 years of age, Chance was observed playing in Fresno, Calif. by someone who enticed him to come to Sullivan, Illinois to play for the semi-pro team based there at the time. E.I. Foodbank Truck Distribution at VFW

•October 26, 2016• Eastern Illinois Foodbank will distribute a truckload of food to hungry area families. The distribution will be held at Sullivan VFW (1146 State Highway 32, Sullivan) 10-11: 30 a.m. November 19. All Moultrie County residents who meet income eligibility criteria are welcome (see below). Those attending are asked to bring bags or boxes to transport food. The distribution is part of the Foodbank’s Foodmobile Program, a system of mobile food pantries designed to help bring nutritious food to areas of chronic or extreme need. Both sets saw the Timberwolves mount comebacks and tie the set late–at 19 in the first and 21 in the second–but it was to no avail, as hitting errors did them in both nights. Sullivan Church Reaches Out to Haitian Mission

•October 26, 2016• Sullivan Church of God Haiti Missions Team is in the process of raising money for thier sister church in Leogane, Haiti. After the earthquake in 2010, the church was damaged to the extent that the roof was completely gone. The nearest church is miles away, and many are unable to walk this distance. Haitians find a lot of hope and joy in their love of God so they continue to attend services five to six days a week at the destroyed church.
