Supreme Court Adopts New Rules To Address Law That Decriminalizes Cannabis Possession

•September 7, 2016• The Illinois Supreme Court has adopted six new rules to establish a regulatory framework for a new state law that decriminalizes the possession of small amounts of cannabis and drug paraphernalia. Supreme Court Rules 585, 586, 587, 588, 589 and 590 were created in response to legislation the Illinois General Assembly approved this past spring and Gov. Bruce Rauner signed into law last month. Sullivan IGA is teaming up with the C.E.F.S. food pantry for the fifth year, giving people in the community a chance to give a little by rounding up their grocery bill to the next dollar. The little bit given by everyone during the “Round Up” goes a long way toward helping the Moultrie County Food Pantry feed less fortunate families. New TIF District Explored South of Sullivan

•September 7, 2016• By Mike Brothers Possible development of an Alzheimer treatment facility south of Sullivan could lead to a new Tax Increment Financing district. Mayor Ann Short explained that Dr. Faisal Burkhari of Sullivan and a group of investors contacted the city expressing interest in building a treatment facility near Vineyard Church, south of Sullivan on Route 32. Impaired and Unbuckled Drivers Target of New IDOT Safety Campaign
