She qualified and competed in seven individual events and swam on two relays for SBD. She is ranked fifth in the state in the 200 individual medley and 10th in the 100 backstroke. Ivan Horsman Our Dad was a farmer. He was born to Vaughn and Mattie Horsman on a small farm near Herrick, Illinois September 7, 1921. He grew up on the farm until he left to try his hand at the Ford Motor Plant in Chicago and later in the U. S. Navy. He was aboard a ship headed to the Pacific when W.W. II ended.
