Young Redskin Softball Team is Ready for Action

•March 23, 2016• Although Sullivan Redskins softball team is young coach Andy Wagner has seven returning letter winners from the 2015 team to help guide the way. Recent tornadoes highlight the need for warning devices •March 23, 2016• Nearly 50 weather warnings were issued the evening of March 15 across the northern half of Illinois, including 19 tornado warnings. Several tornado touchdowns were reported, resulting in damage to dozens of structures. Fortunately, it appears no serious injuries or deaths resulted from the storms. James K. This was formerly know as the Quadrennial Assessment year for Moultrie County Property Tax. In counties with less than 3,000,000 inhabitants, every four years, the Township Assessors, Multi-Township Assessors, and the Chief County Assessment Officer (the “CCAO”, also known as the Supervisor of Assessments) must review and reassess all property in the county and revalue each of the properties if and as needed. •March 23, 2016• Aaron D. Gingerich of Lovington placed second in the state National Corn Yield Contest. One of 407 state winners nationwide, Gingerich’s entry in the AA No-Till/Strip-Till Non-Irrigated Class yielded 288.401 bushels per acre. Double Shutout for Sullivan Saturday

•March 23, 2016• Sullivan Redskin baseball started the season with a 9-6 win over Mattoon March 18. By the end of Saturday they had gotten some batting practice while shutting out Cerro Gordo in a double header there. On Saturday Cerro Gordo yielded to the Redskins’ bats with Sullivan getting 24 runs on 26 hits while holding Cerro Gordo to two hits. Junior Tom Schibur got the win with five strikeouts, allowing two hits with one base on balls.
