David Vincent David E. Vincent, 61, of Shelbyville passed away at 5:55 p.m. December 3, 2015 in Shelbyville Manor. Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 8 in Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville with the Reverend Kevin Ray officiating. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery. David was born December 31, 1953, a son of Paul and Mary Arms Vincent in Burkesville, Ky. He married Cinda Marlow October 17, 2003 in Shelbyville. He was a trucker for several area companies for many years. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed boating and fishing. David’s life revolved around his family. … Read More
Blue Docs Rock Film Festival Opens
•December 9, 2015• Students in Millikin University’s documentary filmmaking course will walk the blue carpet as they present the 2015 Blue Docs Rock Film Festival on Friday, Dec. 11. Free and open to the public, the festival will start at 6 p.m. in Lower Richards Treat University Center on Millikin’s campus. The Blue Docs Rock Film Festival is the culminating event for Millikin’s honors seminar course on documentary filmmaking. Raiders Outscore Timberwolves
•December 9, 2015• Central A&M outscored Okaw Valley boys’ basketball team 66-57 in a Saturday game. Central’s Raiders went to a 18-10 first quarter lead over the Timberwolves. In the second quarter an additional 22 points put them ahead 40-18 at the half. •December 9, 2015• It was a slow start for the Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond boys’ basketball team in the 53-27 home game loss to the Oakwood Comets Dec 4. The Comets controlled both ends of the court during the first quarter, holding the Knights scoreless. At the half Oakwood was ahead 30-6.
