Suspect wrecks, suffers minor injuries June 17, 2015 by Keith Stewart keith@newsprogress.com A 23-year-old man was arrested in the early morning hours last Wednesday after he fled police on a motorcycle. Chris Tomasello, 23, of Decatur, was arrested last Wednesday morning for not only driving on a suspended license and operating an uninsured vehicle, but for also exceeding the speed limit by as much as 35 miles per hour. Moultrie County Annual Farm Bureau Meeting July 16

June 17, 2015 By Tyler Harvey Mo-Do Farm Bureau Manager As of Sunday, June 14, the National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) had Illinois corn condition rated at 57% good with 19% of the corn crop excellent. Soybeans are at 90% planted as of this week with a condition rating of 58% good and 12% excellent. Driving between Tuscola and Sullivan and looking at various crops, the 2015 crop is off to a great start. Phone Scammers Posing As Attorney General’s Reps

June 17, 2015 Attorney General Lisa Madigan today alerted Illinois residents to a phone scam in which callers pose as representatives of the Attorney General’s office in an attempt to con people into sending money on supposed unpaid fines. Madigan’s office received several complaints last week from people who have been contacted by scammers pretending to be officials representing the Illinois Attorney General with bogus claims that the call recipients have warrants out for their arrest. Call recipients, some of whom received multiple calls, are told they will be arrested if they do not pay the fines within 30 minutes. … Read More
