State Treasurer Frerichs returned $299 million in missing money in 2024

•January 15, 2025• The Illinois State Treasurer’s Office returned nearly $299 million in missing money during 2024, Illinois State Treasurer Michael Frerichs announced recently. Illinois’ missing money program — also known as I-CASH — processed 331,032 claims last year. Free laundry day

•January 15, 2025• Another free laundry will be provided by the collaboration of The Moultrie Shelby County ROSC, ACE Hardware and DOVE inc. The groups once again has pulled together to offer a free laundry day on January 30th, at the Sullivan Wash and Fold, previously known as the Rainbow Wash House, at 809 W Jackson St. in Sullivan. On Route 133 between Lovington and Arthur, power poles fell as a result of the storm systems that hit central Illinois in two waves on Wednesday, June 17th. These storms left many without power and caused widespread damage throughout the area, including confirmed tornado touchdowns in nearby counties.
