The Spillway Recreation Area Closed

•June 7, 2023• The Spillway Recreation Area at Lake Shelbyville will be closed for maintenance June 7th to June 16th. The closure applies to both vehicle and pedestrian traffic. These closures are necessary to provide safety for workers and members of the general public while work is being conducted. The closure is a result of performing periodic maintenance, milling the road surface and asphalting. The Corps of Engineers recognizes the impact of road closures on the general public and apologizes for any inconveniences it may cause. Sign collision at Agri-Fab

In the late afternoon of Saturday, May 31st, there was a single-vehicle accident, with the vehicle making contact with the Sullivan Agri-Fab factory signage located at the factory frontage on Hamilton Street. Per Sullivan Police Department’s Chief of Police, Andrew Pistorius, the airbag was deployed in the incident, and the driver refused medical treatment. No further information is available at this time.
