Arthur Produce Auction serves area

Farmers, both Amish and English, gather together drinking coffee while children run around among large boxes of produce, flower arrangements and other goods. Business owners, some with restaurants, some with grocery stores and some with farmer’s markets, mill about, looking at tomatoes, evaluating zucchini, and getting their bidding cards ready. Retirement recognition

•July 24, 2024• Two very impactful individuals will be retiring this year, Christine Grohler being one of them. Grohler dedicated her life to teaching in Special Education in Sullivan Elementary School, spending 30 of her total 34 years teaching at Sullivan Elementary. Some other amazing thing that Grohler has done was she had started the first team of athletes to represent Sullivan at the Special Olympics, which is still active today. … Read More

ALAH School Board discusses gym addition removal, Cross Country Pilot Program, and financial updates

On Route 133 between Lovington and Arthur, power poles fell as a result of the storm systems that hit central Illinois in two waves on Wednesday, June 17th. These storms left many without power and caused widespread damage throughout the area, including confirmed tornado touchdowns in nearby counties.
