•May 6, 2026• Moultrie County Monthly Quarter Madness will hold its May Quarter Auction on Wednesday, May 13th. The event will be held at the Sullivan American Legion. Mid-Illinois Senior Services, Inc. is the organization of the month. Since 1984, Mid-Illinois Senior Services, Inc., an Aging & Disability Resource Center, has provided free services to seniors age 60+, disabled individuals aged 16-59, caregivers, their care recipients & their families, as well as relatives raising children/ grandparents raising grandchildren. On Wednesday, April 22nd, the Mid Illinois Senior Services center in Sullivan held their annual ‘Spring Fling’ fashion show, highlighting some of the wardrobe selections from their Thrift Store located on the square. This year’s models were from Sullivan High School’s FCCLA program as well as the CEFS RSVP program. There was sass, class, and brass on the runway, from animal prints, florals and pastels, to fashionable shades, leathers, bling, and bomber jackets. Sullivan celebrates America’s 250th

The annual Fourth of July parade kicked off a fun filled day of celebration hosted by the Sullivan American Legion Saturday.  Wyman Park was the next destination for the always entertaining watermelon eating contest, turtle races and sack races. At dusk, an amazing fireworks display capped off the festivities. More photos can be found on page 12.
