Funeral services will be held at 3pm on Sunday, May 5th at Smyser Christian Church, rural Gays. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. On Route 133 between Lovington and Arthur, power poles fell as a result of the storm systems that hit central Illinois in two waves on Wednesday, June 17th. These storms left many without power and caused widespread damage throughout the area, including confirmed tornado touchdowns in nearby counties.
