•June 5, 2024• by E. Scott England  It was a cool Saturday evening in April when students and families gathered by Wyman Lake’s pier to take pictures before prom officially kicked off at 8:00pm. Having spent nearly twenty minutes taking pictures of all varieties, four track relay teammates came together for a photo. IDNR seeking entries for cicada-themed art show

Art will be displayed in Conservation World during the Illinois State Fair •June 5, 2024• The Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) is hosting a cicada-themed art show during the Illinois State Fair, and it’s going to be a scream. Edward Linn Voris Edward Linn Voris, known affectionately as Linn, passed away peacefully at home in Windsor, Illinois, on June 3, 2024, at the age of 81. Born on December 20, 1942, to Charles Edward and Helen (Wheeler) Voris, Linn’s life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his family, friends, and community. Linn was a devoted husband to Linda Daniels, whom he married in Strasburg on June 11, 1967. BASO Car Show a success

The Bethany Advocates and Support Organization hosted its annual car show on August 22 at Crowder Park. The perfect afternoon weather bought out 52 entries and many enthusiastic onlookers. Greg Fitzgerald’s 1966 Pontiac GTO took home Best off Show honors.
