City Council Makes Appointments, Receives Planning Report

•March 27, 2024• By Sharon Barricklow The Sullivan City Council made several personnel changes and appointments and received what was called a “roadmap to future development” at their regular council meeting Thursday night. The council took action to appoint deputy treasurer Nakayla Swisher as Interim Treasurer following the resignation of treasurer Jill Bushue. Mayor Mike Mossman said Swisher, City Clerk Carrie Creek and he would all be available to sign checks for the city. The council also gave Street Department employee Ryan Nuding permission to enter into contracts and joint participation agreements between Sullivan and the State of Illinois. Bushue Recognized as a 2024 State FFA Proficiency Winner

She was previously chosen as the Chapter, Section, and District awardee of this area. LLC Offering Tuition Discount

•March 27, 2024• Lake Land College is offering up to $100 in tuition savings for all students who register for Summer or Fall 2024 classes by midnight on May 10.  Students who meet the criteria will receive a $50 tuition and fee credit for each registered semester. By registering for both summer and fall classes, students can receive the maximum incentive of $100. To be eligible for the tuition credit, students must be enrolled in a minimum of three credit hours for summer and six credit hours for fall. Sullivan Lions Club Seeks New Members
