Chili Cookoff

•January 31, 2024• The Bethany Celebration Committee will be having a Chili Cookoff on Friday, February 16 at Bethany American Legion. Sign in is from 4 to 5 pm and the event is open to the public from 5 to 7 pm. Entry fee is $10 per chili and tasting fee is $5 which includes one bowl and three cups. Categories are spicy, traditional and unique. Make the best chili to win cash prizes. There will also be 50/50 and prize basket raffles. 2014 Students at Sullivan Elementary School gave back to the local food pantry by collecting items for the Souper Bowl. In a final push on the last day over 800 items were collected.  Rosati’s was up and running in Sullivan at 801 Illinois 32 inside Howy’s gas station. •January 31, 2024• by Jaime Perrott The Sullivan Blue Dolphins pulled double duty this past weekend with team members swimming in two different away meets. They had 25 swimmers competing in Terre Haute at the 2024 THT Arctic Blast meet. Three swimmers from the team brought home high point awards: Liam Donovan Open boys, Oliver Florey 8 and under boys, and Aurora Huber 6 and under girls. •January 31, 2024• Operation Enduring Support is now accepting donations for Easter Care Packages for our deployed militia. Easter is early this year, and the donation period is much shorter. These care packages will be mailed on March 19th. This is OES’s 21st year of sending care packages to our deployed military. Our young men and women in foreign countries do not have access to Post Exchanges and can really use the items they receive.
