From doors to wall clocks, smart boards, desk chairs and even lockers that were auctioned off in sets. Huber Auction conducted the auction and proceeds from the auction benefit the Sullivan Athletic Boosters. Monthly Quarter Madness

•June 7, 2023• Moultrie County Monthly Quarter Madness will have their June Quarter Auction on Wednesday, June 14 at the Sullivan American Legion. The charity of the month is the Sullivan Okaw Valley Junior Football League (SOV JFL). The JFL program teaches fundamentals of football for younger kids preparing them for the transition to the high school program. There is also flag football which gives kids as young as kindergarten the opportunity to play. Electronics Recycling Event

•June 7, 2023• The City of Sullivan will have an electronic recycling event on Saturday, June 24 from 8:00 and until 11:00 am or until the trailer capacity is reached. The event will be located at Wyman Park parking lot south of Wyman Lake. No wood or projection tvs will be accepted. The event is strictly limited to citizens residing within the city limits of Sullivan and those Sullivan area residents who receive their electric, gas or water service from the city. SES First Graders Visit Ballard Nature Center

•May 31, 2023• Submitted by Lauren Fultz Sullivan Elementary’s first grade classes visited Ballard Nature Center in Altamont this month. At the nature center, students participated in a hands-on lesson about mammals and also took a nature walk through a variety of native Illinois habitats to view animals. This trip was the culmination of a weeks-long study on plants, animals, and habitats, and was a group favorite.
