•April 19, 2023• Windsor Jr./Sr. is pleased to announce their March Students of the Month, Elijah Robinson and Addilyn Bly. Elijah Robinson is the son of Jonathan and Amanda Robinson. He is currently a sophomore in high school. In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball. He plans to become an electrician after he graduates from high school. Addilyn Bly is the daughter of Dereck and Daphney Bly. She is currently in 8th grade and is involved in volleyball, cheerleading, and is her class secretary. SHS Girls Track Takes Sixth

•April 19, 2023• SHS Girls Track finished in 6th place with 44 points at the 15 Team Tolono Girls Invite on Friday, April 14. It was a beautiful night for a meet and Sullivan had some big performances by several of their young athletes. Cassidy Short highlighted the performances with a 1st place long jump leap of 16’5”, while Kharli Kelly took 2nd place in the High Jump, on misses, with a 4’10” clearance. April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month

Illinois Deer Donation Program Donates 33,656 Meals to Area Families

•April 19, 2023• With community support, the Illinois Deer Donation Program had a successful first season. During the 2022 season, 8,414 pounds of donated venison were processed by local meat processors. The meat was donated to 37 food pantries, resulting in 33,656 meals to area families. In response to rising food and meat prices and the challenges food pantries have in obtaining meat, University of Illinois Extension, along with key partners, launched the Illinois Deer Donation Program in 2022. … Read More

Moultrie County History Center to Host Holocaust Art Exhibition

•April 19, 2023• “The Auschwitz Experience in the Art of Prisoners” art exhibit will be on display at the Moultrie County History Center in Sullivan from May 2 through 29. Sullivan celebrates America’s 250th

The annual Fourth of July parade kicked off a fun filled day of celebration hosted by the Sullivan American Legion Saturday.  Wyman Park was the next destination for the always entertaining watermelon eating contest, turtle races and sack races. At dusk, an amazing fireworks display capped off the festivities. More photos can be found on page 12.
